Nah .... merely pointing out that there COULD'VE been a different outcome, which is not an assumption. Carry on cuz your logic is impeccable.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

couple points. JA just gave his speel and it was much better handled by him then Lovie. He really put the Cutler is a pussy stuff to rest. Perhaps he should have commented much earlier. Him blasting the nfl players union was especially good lol. And Steven Jackson also came out in support of Cutler. Seems most of the people talking trash were Seahawks and Cardinals.

One one side, it's good that it's just a sprain because it wont require surgery.
On the flip side, the fact that it wasn't a complete rupture/tear will only lead to more criticism.
Now, let's look at the fact that reports are that his knee didn't have any signs of swelling....
Grade 1 symptoms:
- Mild tenderness on the inside of the knee over the ligament.
- Usually no swelling.
- When the knee is bent to 30 degrees and an outward force applied to the lower leg to stress the medial ligament, pain is felt but there is no joint laxity (looseness)
Grade 2 symptoms:
- Significant tenderness on the inside of the knee on the medial ligament.
- Some swelling seen over the ligament.
- When the knee is stressed as for grade 1 symptoms, there is pain and mild to moderate laxity in the joint, although there is a definite end point (the knee cannot be bent sideways completely).
Grade 3 symptoms:
- This is a complete tear of the ligament.
- Pain can vary and is sometimes not as bad as that of a grade 2 sprain.
- When stressing the knee as described above there is significant joint laxity.
- The athlete may complain of having a very wobbly or unstable knee.
Sounds like a grade 1 sprain to me. I want to give Jay the benefit of the doubt, and I believe the coaching staff and training staff pulled the plug, but nobody can tell me that if Jay Cutler protested adamantly that he couldn't have played more.
Do I believe he's not "tough" for continuing? I don't know. The fact that it was merely a sprain, and most likely a grade 1 sprain, doesn't look good. Furthermore, he looked like garbage before the injury anyways because the offensive line once again played the role of revolving doors letting people tee off on him. Lastly, the Packers have a pretty physical secondary and Jay Cutler doesn't have a go-to target to throw the ball to anyways. So injured or not, we were gonna lose. End.

A sprain & a tear are the SAME. Ligaments SPRAIN...which are degrees of tear. There are 3 diff grades of tear...unclear which one Cutler has
Just so the haters know Jay Cutlers MCI "sprain" is a tear. A "sprain" is a tear. Only question is whether its a grade 1 , 2 or 3.
ESPN should televise his surgery. Call it "The Incision" and have Jim Grey host it.
Grade III is a complete tear, with athlete having trouble bending, definitely having instability. Usually needs brace or crutches 6+ weeks
Grade II, athletes can complain of instability, and issues cutting and pivoting. Also have swelling. Usually, 3-4 weeks of rest.
Grade 1 MCL tear usually sideline an athlete 1-2 weeks. Discomfort is a symptom.
