I'll leave when I feel like it sissy. I've been attacked in this forum before. When you apply your standards equally then I'll have no problem stopping the verbal jabs. Until then...sod off sonny.

Uhm, looks like you were escorted to the door, but I'll respond anyway.

1st, out of 16 games, we played the same opponents in 14 of those games. Look it up, it's true. Also, you can't just look at a teams final record and derive any kind of sensible, logical defense as to what happened DURING the week you played the team. I'll give you two examples:
    1) you played the Eagle in the first game of the season. Kolb was the QB. You won. Congrats. We played the Eagles when they were the hottest team in football. Vick was the QB and was being knighted as the second coming of Johnny Unitas. We won that game too.
    2) We played Dallas in the second game of the season at their place. Their opening game of the season. We won. You played them when they'd already quit on their HC, Phillips. You won too, but the teams were in vastly different places at the times we played them.

See how "when" you play the team matters?

Point is, teams catch breaks all the time...we caught one with a Hester TD, and you caught one with a Pick 6. But hey, if you believe McCarthy is such a coaching genius for "telegraphing" his playcalling late in a game when the opposing team gets within one score and their defense has succes shutting his offense down, then YOU are the one that doesnt know anything about football
McCarthy has shown that he has the capability of being a great HC. He and his staff turned this team around after amassing 15, yes 15 potential starters on IR. However, he is AWFUL when it comes to playcalling and offensive game management. If you don't see the difference in offensive playcalling between the first and second half, go back and watch the game again. We're used to it, he does it every game we get a comfortable lead. The frustration comes because he didn't do that last week, and went right back to it this week.
“I think he did [tarnish his legacy]. Not only this season, but the last few seasons, going back and forth [on retirement] and bouncing to a few different teams. I think about it, and I have to really think hard to think back to when he was a Green Bay Packer and when he played his best football and was in Super Bowls and when he became the Brett Favre we all know."

honestly, i wasnt too focused on the gb offensive playcalling in the 2nd half, i was more interested in the bears defensive calls. but i did wonder why he didnt use more blitzes on hanie...that seemed odd

    a couple things:

    1) I remember when McCarthy was hired, there was criticism of him being "Favre's Buddy"

    2) Since Mike Holmgren is gone, can i steal his bearbucks

    3) how many times were we warned that this offense would be a difficult one to learn, and that it's amazing that they did what they did?

    4) Can't wait til september lol

With the injuries that GB had to deal with this year, McCarthy should get HC of the Year. You have a powerful offense with those great WR's and very good QB. I question how a HC could think 14 points is comfortable though.

I'm watching the Steeler v Jets and I think that 24 points may not even be comfortable.

I was talking offensive play calling. Capers calls our defensive plays and I thought he did an okay job. I think our defense suffered because of our offensive play calling. If we hadn't gone out run-run-pass nearly every possession, then given the ball back, our defense could have rested more.

This is exactly the issue with him. He's proven that he can coach the team well. I'm of the opinion that he should hand the offensive play calling to someone else, though.

He also needs to take the Sharpie out of the back of his cap. He looks like he had a pocket protector in HS, so why not use one now? J/K.

There are no sacred cows in coaching. No matter how well a coach does, there are always critics out there.
