Senior Bowl Discussion [Chicago Bears]
Now that the offseason is beginning we turn our attention to the Under Armor Senior Bowl, which runs this week in Alabama.
This is a great week for Bears scouting as the Senior Bowl has its strongest group of OL talent in some years,
OT
Gabe Carimi
Nate Solder
Derek Sherrod
Anthony Costanzo
OG/C
Mike Pouncey
Stefen Wisniewski

Heights and Weights are in and some of the OL talent is looking really good.
I am disappointed that there is no Marcus Cannon at the Senior Bowl, he looked like a guy who could go 1 on 1 with B.J Raji ay 6'6" 350lbs.
-
The guy who intrigued me today was OT James Brewer [Indiana]
-He came in at 6'6"323lbs and it was said he carried his weight well.
-He looked okay when he moved into OG, which would show some versatility.
-He dominated 2 1 on 1s that I saw.
-
I'm done thinking I know anything about who would be good. I thought Leinart, Benson (albeit in a more, what else is there? kinda way), JD runnells, Grossman and a few others were gonna be great. I'll be temporarily happy when we draft some guys, but BPA is not suitable if it's not OL for at least 2 of the first 3 picks, in my book.

I hope they don't neglect to draft OL high with the excuse of not drafting b/c of "improved consistency". We need a infusion of at least 3 offensive linemen draft or FA.

any help at the OL outside of the 5-7th rounds and I'll be quite happy.

I don't think some of the new scouting dept. will go out on a limb which might be good news for us as we could just get some solid higher round talent in the O line.
