Not sure he needs to be fired, but he does need help in being a talent evaluator and he would do well to admit this to himself and hire somebody with a better track record who could help him do a better job.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

I've been complaining about angelo for a very long time. I COMPLETELY agree with what you said.
We cannot go into next season with frank omiyale as the left tackle. We need a legit LT and a corner that can actually play. Defensive tackle is a huge need. without that inside pressure its tough to consistently beat teams. I like melton and company but ehhh not good enough.
dammit, i hit the wrong button on the damn poll. i thought it was should jerry angelo be fired and i quickly hit yes. AHH DAMMIT

Soooo.... nobody is over reacting at all over this loss right?... everywhere I go is another Bear fan who needs to be talked off the ledge. for christ's stake 90% of the people here never gave this team a fighting chance out of the gate. all year long we had to listen to how the Bears were crap, always gonna be crap, fire Jerry, Fire Lovie, and the whole time you said this crap we piled up wins. and we even has solid, statement making wins..... and still.... nobody, not even Bear fans were willing to believe in the talent and the coaching.
go back and look at the stats. Rodgers had a 55.4 passer rating, and we almost won with our 3rd string QB. we had them on the ropes, and almost had it. 35 yards from forcing OT.
I don't get why everyone is freaking out... whatever. it's your life, your fandom, whatever. I just think it's sad that so many can't even begin to just rationalize things for one second and see just how bad this season could have been... but how awesome it turned out to be.
I really don't see what it's going to take to please bear fans anymore. it used to be we were just happy with a playmaker or two. now we have more than I can count, look like a powerhouse team in the NFC for years to come.... made the championship game WHILE learning mad mike's system...
never mind... I can't even finish trying to annalyze why everyone's ready to freakin hang the organization or my heads gonna explode.

Shame they dont hand out SB trophies for "Almost" winning.
But to answer your question...people are "over-reacting" because they got tricked, and nobody likes getting tricked. Yeah, most people never gave them a chance, and expected another medicore season, and up until the bye, it seemed that was what was going to happen...but then they came back from the Bye and started winning games, and things started to fall into place and alot of people started to think "ok, maybe i was wrong...this team MIGHT be able to go all the way." Then we started the playoffs, happy with our 2 seed, thinking that in this crazy conference, anything could happen..so the semi-believers turned into REAL believers, happy in knowing they were dead wrong about the team, dreaming of a SB berth 25 years after our last, then the Pats lost, and people REALLY started to going full steam believing in the hoisting that SB trophy, since we knew we could beat any of the 3 remaining teams left in the playoffs...and then we get to the packers and the Bears are like "nah, were just kidding, we really arent that good...you guys got punk'd lawlz!!"
so yeah...THATS why people are "over-reacting"

the fact we have to over compensate in free agency cause of inadequate drafting is reason enough to get rid of him. But we will be stuck with him until he decides to retire so this topic is moot.

when you come back down to earth, read that again as if someone else wrote it and tell me what you think my reaction should be.

The only way to develop consistency in any organization is to recruit and develop your own talent. FA only fixes key pieces talent-wise but it's not sustainable. Angelo has shown he can build an average to slightly above average team from a sustainment viewpoint. A guy like him needs to be replaced to take it to the next level. He hasn't done terrible, but he hasn't done great either.
