Time For A New Surface
This field is a joke. Time for the Bears and the park district to invest in a new artifical surface that can hold up to all of the various events that are held here. Tired of seeing games being affected by this field.
( and before the boo hoo's start about how much it will cost ..... how much do the Bears pump into the local economy every year ? )
There's 1 pro football team in this city, and this is the best they can do ? 1 football team and this is what we get ? WOW. Laughable.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

The cost of resodding 3-4 times a year is greater (if not in one year, certainly over multiple years) than replacing.
Do it.

Winston Churchill:
"Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak."
"If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain."

been saying it for years; and the D players have said it actually slows them up b/c this team is built for speed and the crappy field prevents that.

I was thinking that, and replaying the game in my head, Hester could've easily had a better chance at returning, and no way urlacher gets juked out like he did. The deterioration may eventually have partially lead to the slowing down of the packers offense, but i'm doubting it. WE NEED A NEW SURFACE, and a new OMG

Time for a new field surface or fire the schmuck who's in charge of keeping that field healthy.

I'd like to see them keep a grass surface. Obviously, the one the Park District continually puts out there isn't NFL caliber. Wish I knew the answer to the problem. I don't want to see them go to field turf though.

Field turf nowadays is alot better ( softer ) then it was in the past.

I think its time for the Bears to call Roger Bossard, aka The Sod Father. Let him fix the Bears field. If they want natural grass, he is the man to call.

I understand, but I'm a traditionalist. I like seeing grass stains and stuff. I read recently that they are linking injuries to field turf too. Don't remember if there were any significant findings, just that it's being looked at.
I lived in Indy for 13 years and was disappointed when they built another dome. Something about outdoors and grass = football to me.

If this was Miami with all the heat and water and sun then I'd agree whole-heartedly with you.
