C-Dub was a bust the minute we took him; if we can manage to make him into a guard, great, but we need about 3-4 more peices on that line to make it decent.

The Jets extensions for Mangold and Ferguson apparently come into affect in the 2011 season.
Th fact that Omiyale and Williams made close to 5 million for what they delivered was embarrassing.
This team not only needs a talent face lift, but we need to get bigger and meaner.

omiyale and willams as already said NEVER made near 5 mill in 2010 those numbers incorrect( they made 2 mill total FWIW)
you need better resources if going to make these bold statments, because whole premise off, sorry
FWIW brickshaw mad 6.4 million in 2010( not 740,000) and will make $10 mill + in 2011 and mangold made 8.6 mill in 2010 and 9.2 mill for 2011 YAHOO VERY WRONG!!:
brickshaw:
7/7/2010: Signed an eight-year, $73.6 million contract. The deal contains $34.8 million guaranteed, including a $1.6 million signing bonus and a first-year roster bonus of $3.1 million. All but $5.3 million of the "guarantees," however, are guaranteed only for "skill" and not injury. 2011: $5.615 million (+ $3.9 million option bonus), 2012: $9.985 million, 2013: $7.25 million, 2014-2015: $5.95 million, 2016: $8.625 million, 2017: $11.275 million, 2018: Free Agent
mangold:
23/2010: Signed an eight-year, $57.4 million contract. The deal contains $25 million guaranteed -- $22.5 million of which is guaranteed for injury -- including a $6.373 million signing bonus. 2011: $2,260,800 (+ $9.725 million option bonus), 2012: $2,334,700, 2013: $3,008,600, 2014: $3,032,500, 2015: $3,456,400, 2016: $3,880,300, 2017: $4,304,200, 2018: Free Agent

Kruetz and Garza played well, but we need young guys for the fuuture.
Webb was my favorite of the year. he had ups and downs (something you expect from a rookie 7th rounder learning a complicated system but was given very little slack on) but proved he's gonna be a solid RT and we can all rest a bit easier knowing this guy is gonna keep improving.
Webb will benefit greatly from an offseason with pro guys. This year to next should be night and day mentally for him too. He'll know what to expect in his second training camp and season.
A potential lockout might affect Webb more than anyone on the current roster. He needs this offseason to take the leap I think he's capable of making.

This thread is a bust, because no matter what, the O line sucked it up pretty bad. Add to that how numbers are are screwy over the term of the contract. I would rather either look at total contracts than yearly output in $$, as that is where the money is spent.

This data is damning. We pay the most for our line and get the worst performance. Maybe the compensation data is bad on yahoo, but every team has roughly the same numbers but the Bears. Sure the line improved, but I think they still pretty much sucked at the end of the year.
This is all on Jerry Angelo. Horrible price/performance = bad managment. What do you think?
Am I missing something? Give Cutler protection and none of this BS on the Board is an issue and we are in the Superbowl! *** JA?
I think that people who believe in Jerry Angleo are blind.
