This data is damning. We pay the most for our line and get the worst performance. Maybe the compensation data is bad on yahoo, but every team has roughly the same numbers but the Bears. Sure the line improved, but I think they still pretty much sucked at the end of the year.

This is all on Jerry Angelo. Horrible price/performance = bad managment. What do you think?

The Jets $ is surprising since there are a few high picks along their line. How much of Bears $ is Omiyale? lol.

How are the Jets that low? I thought Mangold had like a $9M/season deal and D'Brickashaw had a good deal too.

I don't know the real numbers, but I doubt that what is there is correct for the Bears. Think about it, they have Webb who is a late round draft pick (near minimum), Garza isn't pricey, Omiyale isn't pricey. They only ones who might have some bucks (and I'd argue the real bucks are already paid out) is Williams (1st rounder on original deal) and Kreutz (nice, though not huge, resign from a few year back).

That might be cap hit data, which isn't actual money paid out (includes prorated bonuses).

Omiyale got paid 6.3M this year...
Chris Williams got paid 5.9M, which makes sense for a first round OL

They might be wrong about Nick Mangold's numbers, they list him as 700k, but his extension has him averaging 7M a year...so that doesnt add up, might be typo

We could have had the lowest payroll and the most sacks and I'd still be upset at the OL

yahoo's number's make no sense!

omiyale made $1.6 mill in 2010 not $6.3 million, his big money was front loaded in 2009, not 2010 at $6 mill, seems they just made an awful assumption first first year same as rest

chris willams made $740,000 in 2010 not 5.9 million( his big money in 2008 not 2010).. so just those 2 moves the number to 10 million from 20 million FWIW

I still have hope for C. Williams.
Kruetz and Garza played well, but we need young guys for the fuuture.
Webb was my favorite of the year. he had ups and downs (something you expect from a rookie 7th rounder learning a complicated system but was given very little slack on) but proved he's gonna be a solid RT and we can all rest a bit easier knowing this guy is gonna keep improving.
