I just find it disheartening that we desperately need an OL, and the first signing they do is a DL...its actually getting quite comical, as if they are going out of their way to make boneheaded moves for our amusement.

why? maybe no good OL that havent been signed yet, maybe the DE agent got his contract before 2-3 OL agents did.. think you are making a mountain out not even a molehill

Why? Thought i explained it already.
#1 top concern...our OL. They sign a DE. Does that address our main problem in any way shape or form? Nope. Doesnt even play on the same side of the ball as an OL. But as i pointed out, moves like this seem to be typical for this management.

Settle down on futures contracts, none of them will ever see the field (well, more like a lottery chance). Practice squad stuff at best,/camp fodder.

ah we need to ignore all other needs until a olineman is signed, even if like another player or position?.. guess we shall agree to disagree that is a way to run a NFL team that has 53 players and 25 poistions needing to be filled and evaluated each year.
Just because your first signing is a DE for probably camp fodder at best as a "future contract" player,, doesn't mean not looking oline is the point- just got his contract signed back first
