Measurables : Thats all we ever hear about when its comes to the Senior Bowl and the Combine. When it comes to drafting , give me a guy who's body of work throughout his college career is good and solid ; along with a good background check on what kind of person / competitor he is cuz those are the guys who get better and better. Talent is nothing without a great work ethic. I'll line up 11 Mike Browns and Mike Singletarys vs. anybody else's 11 Mike Williams' and my team will whup that team 10-out of-10 times.
Of course more talented COMBINED with a great work ethic wins more often than not. But measurables are not the be all end all that some would have you believe. The Bears better draft FOOTBALL PLAYERS; not specimens who won't amount to jack-spit in the long run. Alonzo Spellman anyone ? Had a body like a world beater but a mind like an egg-beater.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

I feel like I've said this a thousand times here and dbz, but here it goes again. Only fools look purely at postseason workouts to judge talent. However, they are a great tool to divide close players and get small school players on an even playing field with the big DI school players. For every player that gets drafted highly purely because of a great workouts like Michael Mitchell, there's countless more who have earned their position with play on the field and solidified that with solid workouts. Hell, there's more guys who suck at workouts like Brandon Spikes and still go early because of their on the field play. On top of all that, there are just some things you can't see on tape because of different levels of competition that everyone goes through. Guys like Ramses Barden may dominate tiny college CBs, but it's easy to see why they are failing in the NFL despite that hype when you get them in isolated workouts.

Agreed think you need a COMBO of both the play of field AND also the measurables which cn raise red flags, don't need to just look at one or the other

If it wasnt for Olsen's combine did his play in college warrant a first round pick? If it was the case combine should be second to evaluation Zach Miller would have been the first TE taken.

I hope the Bears learned that lesson cause we often take combine warriors over guys who produced in college
