We would have been better off if we'd have drafted Ryan Clady but that's ancient history. Sorry Dags, sox is 100% correct when he says that CWill is anything but a bust. He's been the victim of a lot of indecision and misjudgement during his entire time with the Bears. Aside from the decision to waste money on Pace and move him to RT the next error in judgement he experienced once again came from a bad FA buy.
Since Omiyale already proved that he was useless as an OG and given Tice's need to get his five best blockers on the field together what other choice did they have but to put Williams at OG. He's not your prototypical OG but he didn't stink and actually looked very nice in the running game once he settled in.
Depending on who we draft and what me pick up in FA (if we ever have one) don't be surprised if you don't see him back at LT this year and don't be surprised if he doesn't start. He's at the very least a wild card that allow JA to go DT in the first and look for Oline help after the first.
agreed if he became a solid starter at OG, he isn't a bust in any shape or form, nor would he be the first or last NFL player drafted at one one position, but endd at another, you can't calla guy a bust for that. heck does that mean big cat was a bust because he was drafted as a DT,but became a very good OT, or hester a CB , but a KR/WR?..

They were a bust for the position they were drafted to play yes. They were just moved to a position that would better suit their talents
And do you really think C-Will is a solid OG? After only a handful of games?
Saying to early to tell, just saying being stuck on the idea a guy is a "bust' just based on where he is drafted silly.. and same for the idea he played all 16 games in 2009, but somehow"has back problems all 3 years" even sillier. Perpetuating wrong myths, well.. wrong

Not talking about them being a bust because of where they were drafted, but for what they were drafted to do.
For example, Hester was a bust at CB, but has more than exceles at returns

However, you can call someone a bust if they are a first round pick, and they are not playing like a first round pick should.

Hester us NOT a bust of a player, just as a CB which us what he was drafted as.
C-Will is a bust as a LT but may be servcable as a LG. Either way, he us not playing up to his first round status, so as a first rounder you could very well call him a bust
