The article is basically saying that the Bears screwed over Cutler, allowing him to get labeled as a quitter because of their mistrust of the media and not sharing what was wrong with him with the pressbox or commentators. That is the PR mess-up the article is talking about. Nothing about the bad PR costing us the game, or underplaying the rivalry.

I suppose next year...if we make it back, someone should bust his knees and make him play to prove his toughness. That will make it all go away! LOL!!!!!!
Or perhaps.....those that are questioning his "toughness" should piss him off in a dark alley somewhere. ;-)
This is such a fkin' joke.
Who gives a rats ass? ..... it's over.
And Jay Cutler is STILL the BEST DAM QUARTERBACK WE'VE HAD SINCE JIM McMAHON.
btw........THAT was 25 Years ago.
With the success that Chicago has at bringing in good Quarterbacks...... care to wait ANOTHER 25?

Perhaps THAT'S what the article should be focusing on..............just saying. ;-)

Isn't that ( the lack of media friendlyness) exactly what the article is saying? They are not calling out anyone but the Bears front office for anything but their apparently less than stellar ability to handle PR relations properly or deal properly with the media

You know, there was an interview with Caleb Hanie a few days ago, and he stated that Jay WAS helping him out during the game. But of course every idiot in the universe bases their opinions on a 5-second TV shot of Cutler looking aloof next to Hanie while Hanie pored over the playbook.

Everybody just couldn't wait to jump on the "Lets Bash Jay Cutler While He's Down" bandwagon.
What a bunch of B*TCHES all of THEM are!!!!!
In my opinion ..... Morrisey is dead wrong. And is just back-paddling for what ever stupid uninformed comments HE may have made.
Nobody likes' Cutler's "poutiness". And I agree that he should have grabbed a head set and a clip board and helped out Hanie instead of looking like the Puss Of The Planet.
But the FACT is....he is one very TOUGH Motha FKER .... and THAT can never be questioned.
I would still rather have a TEAM full of Jay Cutler's .... then a TEAM full of say ...... Brett Favres!!!! ~ showing/txting his little Pee-Pee off. LOL!!!!!!
Now THERE'S a whinney little cry baby b*tch! ..... :-)

The universe would implode if there were a team of Brett Favres.

Leave it to the Bears, to not only LOSE the game, but have to deal with all this stupid nonsense as well.

NO........it's sounds more to me that Morrisey is defending whatever stupid pre-mature comments HE may have also made, by blaming the Front Office' for not being "quick enough" to come to Jay's rescue.
Which may be true, but what I'm saying is that perhaps Morrisey, and the whole BUNCH of them, should have just kept their big mouths SHUT until they actually KNEW what was going on.
And if he wanted to say anything substantial....he should have wrote an article about what a debacle that whole game was, and what a PISS POOR display of FOOTBALL, on behalf of the ENTIRE "TEAM" that was.
We didn't lose because "Cutler is a Whimp".
We lost because the WHOLE TEAM Melted Down loooooooooong before Cutler got hurt.
And their lack of PR Relations had nothing to do with that. Morrisey's just covering his own ass for the stupid things he might have said also. or, at the very least.....the stupid things his "pals" have been saying.

this is sports if you want "sports-entertainment" go watch pro wrestling. the media should be ashamed of themselves if they are burying cutler because he is not the most "friendly" person. He should not have "take a PR course" he's there to play a game nothing more.

EXACTLY!!! Where most professional athletes simply MUST have the spotlight for going out of their way to bring happiness to sick kids, or help the community, Cutler tries to do it incognito, and for that is more impressive. I know this is way off topic, but it reminds me of a particularly moving part of Walter Payton's biography, in which he was inundated with fans asking for autographs and in the process, he noticed an older woman walking away crying. He told one of his friends (don't remember the name) to track her down. After he dealt with the crowd, he asked what was the matter, and she replied that her grandsons were big fans of his and she felt horrible for not being able to get them an autograph from him. Needless to say, he signed whatever it was she had, and went on his way. I guess, in this way, one can draw a comparison between the two; most of the stories in Walter Payton's book were from friends or others who brought to light his many good deeds, just like how Cutler is doing most of his good work behind the scenes. It says more about your character to not have to have the attention; But the difference between them is that Cutler "apeears to be a ****" and we live in a media era where it's apparently important to be upfront with everything..
