As far as FA I'd like to see us sign Jackson, Asomugha and a vet C to replace Kreutz until our drafted C comes on.
Kruetz should still have a ouple goods season. We just need to surround him with two guards that don't need his help to block.

The only good season he would have is playing part time this season. No way he has a few more left in him. Garza should be replaced but I doubt if they shake things up that much and Cwill is the wildcard on where he plays. Omiyale still plays LT so to immediately improve the line they bring in a FA/C and then draft a eventual replacement.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

I am will to say that if the guards and tackles improve that will take pressure off Kruetz, improving his performance.

-Our OL is way worse then our WR core and free agents are far more assured of having an impact then a draft pick.
ex. Jared Gaither is a more sure thing then Derek Sherrod.
-Jay Cutler has been sacked over 80 times in the last 2 years and his health has begun to suffer with the concussion and the knee.
ex. We cannot wait for a rookie OL talent to become and impact player as it could mean another 40 sacks on Jay Cutler.
-The OL free agent class is much better then the WR class as Vincent Jackson has baggage and Sidney Rice has an injury history.
I think that our free agent money should be spent on the OL as Logan Mankins has a more positive impact then a Vincent Jackson. You cannot get the ball to Vincent Jackson when Jay is on the side line icing down his knee.
I can see the Bears pursuing Mankins.
What other FA o-linemen do you all like (I can see the Bears signing two)?

And your absolutely right but the same premise goes for any position on the line relative to the other. I just don't want to see Kreutz tarnish his legacy by holding on too long. It's time.

The Bears need a tall WR say 6'3" or taller, at least 6'2". They don't need another WR in the same mode as Knox, Hester and Bennett.

OT Jared Gaither [Ravens] 6'9" 345lbs. has played LT.
OG Marshall Yanda [Ravens] 6'3" 310lbs has played RT and RG and is an old school tough guy.
OG Davin Joseph [Tampa Bay] 6'3" 315lbs. a mauler and RG option.
OG Carl Nicks [Saints] 6'5" 345lbs. a monster that they may have trouble resigning after making Jahri Evans the highest paid OG.
C Ryan Kalil [Panthers] 6'2" 295lbs. a solid technician and leader.
OT Tyson Clabo [Falcons] 6'6" 330lbs. a mauling RT.
OG Justin Blalock [Falcons] 6'3" 329lbs. a young LG that can start and run block.

Take your pick of late 1st round WRs
Torrey Smith 6'1" 205 lbs.
Leonard Hankerson 6'2" 210lbs.
Jonathan Baldwin 6'5" 230lbs.

My ideal off seaon would be to sign V.Jackson to be Cutler's go to guy, then use every draft pick on the OL. We'd have to hit a few then, right? The draft is a gamble with every player so draft several players in need positons. I think the Bears can do well with the other positions they already have, but without an OL and a real go to guy, the offense will be like it was this year. Below average

Vincent Jackson has off field issues that will deter the bears from pursuing him.
