    A coaching change we NEED to make

    Day joins the Bears after spending three seasons as the San Francisco 49ers quality control coach. Working with the offensive staff in game planning and practice preparations, Day helped oversee the quarterbacks in 2007, the running backs in 2008 and the offensive line in 2009. 
    So, as a QB coach, we have a guy that's never actually continually WORKED with QBs? Might that help a little bit with Cutler's spotty mechanics? Jim Zorn was just fired (another former HC), and he helped Joe Flacco to his best season yet. Why teh ******* not?

    Sure, why not? Jim Zorn is a former QB and has more experience than Shane Day. Zorn worked with Jason Campbell and helped Joe Flacco to his best season. Day formerly worked as a quality control coach for the 49ers. I think it would be a great addition for the Bears.

    Makes sense, but I'd still take Zorn. I don't think cutler's fundamentals were that sound in Denver, either...
