There are at least half-of-a-handful of people who did like I did and quit coming onto this site because of the way they were being treated. Now, I have grown up enough to realize that evidently, what one person's opinion plus $5 will buy me a cup of coffee at Starbucks. I don't like seeing people fighting in here because that's not civil conversation. In that way, the old DBZ.com was better in terms of just having a good time plus being able to discuss football strategy.
Understood. That stuff has been addressed as much a possible with the TOS and creation of a bar scene for those whose skin is thick enough to handle it.
However, I gotta admit, I get tired of the "good ole days" stuff. I was right there in the middle of those days. Was it better? In some ways yes, in some ways no.
This is not personal AT ALL. However, it reminds me of a realization I had years back with one of my best friends. Over time I realized that our conversations & time spent together was all about looking back, nothing really about what was current or even future. Eventually, I grew tired of reminiscing, and stopped hanging around him as much - because my life had moved on. That's also how I feel about reminiscing about DBZ. Life has moved on, and so have I. I welcome seeing and talking to those that left after the merge, but I don't think anything is wrong with what we have here now.

I think it should be obvious today, that Most of the Packers injured players are on defense. They are defending World Champs. Common sense should dictate that we build an offense that can battle their healthier defense. Our defense needs a few tweeks here and there, but, even tho we are division champs, we should be working on beating THEM first and foremost, like lovie said at his first press conference.

If edge rushers are the problem ( which they are 90% of the time ) then OT is the most important thing to draft. However, since we're gonna be dealing with this surgeon Rodgers for years to come, Bears have GOT to get better D-linemen who are able to put pressure on him , or he's gonna carve us up most of the time. It's imperative to improve the lines on both sides of the ball for the Bears to have any realistic chance of competing for the division every year.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

God I hope this is an uncapped year again (i know it won't) and somebody slips Virginia a whole bunch of MDMA and tells her that Mankins, Nomnomdi and kalil bell just want to play with the Bears. I guarantee they'll be signed within a day.

Kalil Bell is a restricted free agent, I think. He will likely designated as the Panthers' franchise player.

I don't think there is anything wrong with this site after the merger, except for the fact that people don't adhere to the rules as they should. Benji and I brought back some of the old people who left, which has brought back some of the old flavor that I really liked about the old site. However, one thing I do like more about this site is that the focus is more centered on football than it is about the superfluous bullshit that tended to go on a lot on the other forum. I don't go into the "Anything But Football" section of the message board simply because it doesn't interest me, unless I see something on there that does suit my fancy, in which case I will read and comment accordingly. This site is more about the bare bones facts of football, but sometimes I notice that some of negativity (people getting cussed out/harangued over opinions the other party(ies) disagree with) gets overlooked.
Anyway, I don't want to come across as an asshole. I just come here for fun, and I fully intend to remain an active member of this site so long as I have the time to do so.

I think that we are talking about Ryan Kalil the Panthers C.
I doubt that he is designated as their franchise player because all OLmen under the franchise tag are considered the same and they would pay him top 5 LT money.
The OL franchise tag will be close to 11 million.
