Post Senior Bowl OL Rankings
OT
1. Gabe Carimi [6'7" 315lbs.] Top 20
Solid in all phases and showed he can play OG as well as OT.
2. Nate Solder [6'8" 314lbs] Top 20
I am not a huge Nate Solder fan, but you cannot teach what he has.
3. Tyron Smith [6'5" 290lbs] Top 25
Waiting for the weigh in, but LT potential.
4. Anthony Costanzo [6'7" 305lbs] 1st-2nd
Was up and down at the Senior Bowl, I have questions about his playing strength.
5. Derek Sherrod [6'6" 312lbs] 1st-2nd
Reminds me of Chris Williams from a couple of years ago, I would call him a FINESSE OT.
6. Marcus Gilbert [6'7" 329lbs] 2nd
Impressive size and decent feet that make him a RT or OG candidate.
7. James Brewer [6'6" 323lbs] 2nd-3rd
He is stiff and limited athletically, but he has big time power and looks like a RT.
8. Chris Hairston [6'6" 325lbs] 3rd
My wild card OLmen as he has an intriguing blend of power and speed, but technique questions linger.
OG
1. Marcus Cannon [6'5" 350lbs] 1st-2nd
Cannon has up and down projections on him, but he looks like a dominant physical presence. He reminds me of Jett Otah with better feet and less of a hand punch.
2. Mike Pouncey [6'4" 313lbs.] 1st-2nd
He is not his brother, but he is still an explosive 314lbs player as long as he does not need to snap the ball.
3. Ben Ijalana [6'3" 320lbs.] 2nd
Great combination of size and ability to finish, was a punisher against lower competition.
4. Danny Watkins [6'4" 312lbs] 2nd
He would be the #1 OG if he was not 27 years old, a mauler in the run game.
5. Rodney Hudson [6'2" 292lbs.] 2nd
Not for everyone, but I was impressed with the amount of push the little guy gets in the run game.
6. Clint Boling [6'5" 310lbs.] 3rd
He looked good at OG in the Senior Bowl and has solid physical skills and good technique.
7. James Carpenter [6'5" 315lbs.] 3rd
Was the suprise of the Senior Bowl and his feet and power make him someone to watch going forward.
8 John Moffitt [6'5" 308lbs.] 3rd
Again age is a problem because he is 25 years old. Solid unspectaculer fighter that makes up for having 0 physical ability.
C
Stefen Wisniewski [6'3" 308lbs.] 2nd
The only center who I think can come in and start day 1.
Jake Kirkpatrick [6'2" 304lbs] 4th
No physical ability, but a hard worker.
Tim Barnes [6'4" 300lbs.] 5th
His size and physicality are interesting.
Brandon Fusco [6'3" 300lbs] 5th
Does not play as big as he looks, but you have to love a good neck roll.
Kris O'Dowd [6'4" 300lbs] 6th
I do not think he could block traffic with a stop sign.
