    Report: Eagles want to interview Hoke

    Adam Caplan of Foxsports.com is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles have asked the Bears for permission to interview secondary coach Jon Hoke for their defensive coordinator position.
    Hoke finished his second season as the Bears' secondary coach. Before coming to Chicago, Hoke spent seven years coaching defensive backs for the Houston Texans.

    Theres been some improvement granted but warranted for an interview? Or is it just b/c Hoke knows someone and is doing a favor for him by interviewing him? If we lost Hoke is there a better guy we could obtain on short notice or promote from within?

    Gil Byrd is the other secondary coach and he's been with the Bears for a few years if I remember correctly. My guess is that he's be high on the list of canidates to replace Hoke if he leaves.
