"2010: Jay Cutler 86.3 passer rating, 52 sacks, 7.58 yards per attempt, 23 TD, 16 INT. *432 att
2009: Aaron Rodgers 103.2 passer rating, 50 sacks, 8.20 yards per attempt, 30 TD, 7 INT. *541 att
2007: Ben Roethlisberger 104.1 passer rating, 47 sacks, 7.81 yards per attempt, 32 TD, 11 INT. *404 att
In other words, you can't say Cutler didn't possess elite quarterback statistics because his offensive line and the play-calling frequently had him running for his life."
I added the attempts as I think that matters when talking about td's/int's and sacks.
I think that is very telling. Cutler needs to step up and have less of his bad games if he's going to be considered elite. He might be the best qb we could have gotten, or ever had, but if he doesn't work on his game he's never going to reach his full potential.

Please tell me where the WR's on Chicago are anywhere in the league of Pittsburgh or Green Bay.

any excuse to say our qb doesn't have any issues; he's fucking perfect; and when he did have wr's and still had problems chucking picks in the redzone it was his D's fault they couldn't win. Okay gotcha; and the world is flat, we never got to the moon, and the holocaust never happened; nor is there a mafia.
Please, it's not like I'm saying he sucks; he needs to work, and saying he got sacked a lot isn't an excuse for his problems.

think there is a MIDDLE GROUND that many cant seem to come off the extreme ledge about
Does Cutler need work? of course!
is cutler one of the top talents in the league? Of course!
"if" we can get the mind and body right and together, it can be a great and exciting next 5-7 years, we have all seen games like the jets and Eagles, where is every bit as good as any qb in the league.. and have seen games like redskins game that just make you shake your head- and have games like seattle in reg season where not very good, but then follows it up in the much tougher playoff game with a very good game.
He is definetly still a work in progress, and none of know in the end will he be a top QB or be a Qb that never reaches his enormous potential.. as a bea fan sure hope its the former

I don't know what your problem is, but you've gone full retard with this post. I never said he doesn't have problems, but a LOT of them can be attributed to WR's that flat out aren't in the league of GB and Pitt...

db completely agree. Just seems like people are bitter of even the smallest critism of Cutler. The guy has all the talent in the world, ala rex grossman, but has a bit of the same problems w/mechanics and poor choices(not to the extent though thank god). If we can get him to improve his game he is going to be elite; if he stays where he is he is going to be really good but never reach that potential elite he could be.

and yet you dance around the talent around him issue...

What has he done to improve his mechanics and who has he worked with besides the coaching staff. I remember reading Brees going to many different mentors. Would be interesting to know what the off season approach is.

Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

After watching him this year, I'm not sure he actually has worked on any mechanics with anyone. It appeared his decision making was the only thing which improved, with some regrettable relapses. If anything, I think he was too busy learning the offense to effectively work on anything else.

he was brought here to make the existing talent better, not vise versa. And Other qb's succeed w/out top end talent around them. Besides he has Olsen(even if he is soft) and Forte to bail him out in a jam. Bad wr's don't make him throw off his back foot, or throw into 3 or 4 defenders. It's a lame excuse to try and justify his poor play.
