Line coach Eric Washington leaving Bears
On the move: In other news Monday, Eric Washington left the Bears after one season as defensive line coach to accept the same position on Ron Rivera’s staff with the Carolina Panthers. Washington spent a total of three seasons with the Bears, serving as assistant defensive line coach in 2008-09.

I get what you're saying, it being Chico, but there shouldn't be any uproar. Marinelli runs the line. Washington probably wants to actually have full control of his own group.

That's about the way I see it too. All of the Dlineman crow about what a great coach Marinelli and how much they enjoy working with him. I haven't heard Washington's name mentioned once. He's actually still been an assistant as far as his duties were concerned. I don't see it as any great loss.
