The San Diego Union-Tribune reports: Chicago Bears guard Lance Louis has settled the civil suit filed against him by former San Diego State teammate Nick Sandford. Terms were confidential.
Sandford had filed suit in 2009 alleging that Louis "snuck up" and attacked him in a team meeting room, causing a concussion, ruptured eardrum and facial injuries in early November 2008.
Sanford also sued former head coach Chuck Long, alleging that he covered up the incident, but a judge dropped Long from the suit.
Be nice if he could channel some of that aggression into his play. I move that we cut ManuManu's ass and move Louis into that hybrid TE/FB spot next year. Louis was a TE in college and we'd save some money in the process if there's isn't a big cap hit for kicking the "pineapple" to the curb.
