The Bears let Rivera go, the Packers will not be as STUPID and let Capers go...
The Bears had Grossman, the Packers have Rodgers.
The Bears had Ben$on, the Packers have Grant.
The Bears still need WR's, the Packers have WR's.
The Bears let their O-Line rot away, the Packers maintained theirs much better.
The Bears have Lovie Smith, the Packers have a game day coach.
The Bears also had the WR screen King, Turner...

Hmmm, yeah, the Packers will be WAY better than the Bears next season...!!!

    Just saying.

apples and oranges,,, then again you always think the bears will suck, so not suprised you once again will be here all offseason talking about how bad the bears will be , how they suck and only win 5 games AT MOST!!!!!!( with the usual extra exclamtion points you use) and then like did this past year dissapear when bears WIN, and reappear ony after a "L", so hopefully a lot of W's so don't see the tripe.

To answer simply.. NOT A CHANCE in HELL.

Packers draft way better than the Bears. Right now IMO the bears need
    DT
3 OL (and that's being conservative)
    1-2 WR
    1-2 DB

There will be a CAP next year, which means Jerry and CO don't have a wad of cash to throw at their holes for failing to draft properly. And that folks is the main differnce, Packers have drafted amazing over the past several years, gone to a better defense scheme, and added a player or two via FA. Compared to the Bears, who draft horribly, have an outdated Defense scheme, and have to buy players to do anything.

With the "new" Bears formula, you have a good season as they did in 2010, but you are kidding yourself they can sustain this going into next year. I have said this over the year, this team lacks talent in a big way. And that is from 8+ years of failing to draft properly. Until the bears fix that problem, they can't think they can compete with other teams that do. I can see the Bears competing with the Lions for 2nd place next year.

You are also kidding yourself if you think this team gets as lucky as they were in 2010. How many 3rd string Qbs did they face? How many people were injured this year, do you think they all stay healthy next year? The Def is a year older, how much do they loose a step?

Look this year was fun, and I was glad I was wrong on somethings.. But, I can't believe all the luck they had in 2010, translates to a good 2011 season.

In 07 the Bears SHOULD have been better than the packers, just like the packers SHOULD be better than the Bears.

That is why I said AT THE MOMENT

and that's fine.. Just took exception first to the 15 starting players on IR, when only 3.. and then the idea of when had the same running numbers the last 3 years, that somehow this year 'different" and "one dimensional", when no different than last few years for 2011 not being any different either.

Just pointing out esp in the NFC over the last decade the "should" be better has never happened and we can go in circles on all 10 teams that didn't repeat and why despite all "should" be better NONE were. Just saying if want to call it the NFC SB curse or whatever, but despite the "should" be better, just hasn't happened

That is, IF there is a next year
The only impact players I recall from the packers that were on IR were Grant, Finely and Barnett.

The packers have more depth on offense and their secondary a lot better than our secondary. They have a better pass rush but I don't think they do well against the run. Special teams I would say the bears are better than the packers. As for Coaching we are way out of the packers league except for Martz and our special teams coach.
