1. Jay Cutler
2. Donovan McNabb
3. Caleb Hanie
Hanie has definitely earned #2. McNabb is approaching the end of his career. Somehow, Lovie and his crew will justify the above rankings because McNabb (or another washed-up vet QB) has much more experience and "gives us the best chance to win."
After all, this reasoning worked SO WELL with Todd Collins.

Seriously, I would not be at all surprised if this is what happens. Definitely won't be surprised... but I will end up being extremely pissed off.
Don't say I didn't warn you.
Might I point out that they have NOT released Toad Collins yet...

If he is so good then why can't lovie figure that out? lol

I think that is a good point. I believe most can see that Collins borders between bad and awful. On the one hand you had the "talent evaluators" get him but then you had almost a blatant non-objective "he's our #2 no matter what" mentality the coaching staff had until the NFCC. If anything it's a huge pause for concern.

I'm not saying the Bears Brass hasn't screwed the pooch a good many times, but pulling off the Cutler Trade, bringing in Martz...
There are some really dynamite things ahead for us, and it's thanks to the times they DID make the right decisions, and I feel right now the good outweighs the bad.

I'd tend to agree with that but it just seems that when they are behind the curve with a obvious situation like Collins how much further are they behind tactically in things we can't see vs other coaches.

As long as we pile on wins, I don't care if Lovie burns challenges on correct change from the Beer vendor..... NFCC with an offensive line and recieving core earliy simmilar to a movie starring Keanue Reeves?.... I'll take it. Imagine what we do with just two or three more guys who can just come in and play?... between FA, and the Draft (Please god Late Nate Solder fall to the 29th pick) I think we can really turn some heads next year.

An upgrade at OL means that Cutler plays three quarters and Hanie plays the fourth.
We would be that far ahead in points to allow that.
Now if we can just get Halas Hall to think that way...

we need O-line BAD. outside of that we look pretty damn good and no other position is in "dire need"..... we could stand to plug in a few more good players (CB, WR, D-line) at other positions.... but as a "WHOLE"...
this team is gonna be scary good, and you don't get scary good by "screwing up"...
I just don't get the logic.
We are talking about the back up qb position, not the season...keep up. We screwed up the backup qb position; and the staff were the reason for it.
