Carimi would be great as well as we could compete with Webb. The winner goes to LT the loser goes to RT.
Not a chance solder lasts until 29th,, heck seen him in top 10 or top 15,,,, think Carimi atleats ahs a shot of falling, esp if have a run on DT/CB's like expected

If Webb moves to LT then who goes back to RT Cwill or Omiyale? I would tend to think Omiyale. If we draft a OL high in the draft then it would appear that perhaps we wouldn't see the rook start on day 1 of the season. If the objective is to improve NOW and plug someone in then FA would be the way to go.

Actually, not that it has to be 1st round or anything, but I'd prefer to draft guards. Someone like Wisniewski would be ideal because of his ability to slide into the center position.
While like wisniewski, he's a draft "tweener" for us, he's not a first rounder, but probably wouldn't last until late 2nd,, likely to go 40-55.
This is what's going to make drafting so difficult- i'd say better value to get a FA Guard like blaylock, josepth or yanda and use the 2nd for CB( if a good one is there), and get a OG in 3rd.. but without the benefit of F/A or a CBA, hard to project what ill be there and you can screw yourself both ways, either by getting draft picks that could be filled by F/A or missing a pick and F/A doesn't work.. really going to be a tough day!
BTW as an FYI, because no CBA any draft trade can only be for other draft picks NOT other players- so IMO will Also impact not many trades happening

I just pray and hope we dont draft a bust in the first rounder. Past that the way JA track record is its called gravy

I am really afraid that the Bears are going to get stuck in the psoition that the best OLmen on the board are guys like Wisniewski and Cannon that are valued in the early 2nd and we will have to reach.
I agree that OL in the 1st is not a forgone conclusion if the value is at WR, Hankerson or Smith, we may go that direction.

So Long as we take a guy that's worth the 1st round money, I don't care WHAT position we draft so long as they make an impact like 1st round talent should.

That is an excellent way of putting it.

I believe that as far as any draft or FA we have to expect the worst and hope for the best. Luck is a fickle thing like something falling into our laps or reaching on a player. Glad when it does though.
