Bears tight end Brandon Manumaleuna will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee soon, according to a source.
The procedure is considered minor and it's basically a clean-out. Manumaleuna had a scope on his left knee the week before the draft last year. It wound up slowing him down at the start of training camp. Because this procedure will be significantly earlier than the one last year, he's expected to be ready well in advance of camp this summer.
Manumaleuna has missed only two games in his 10-year career.

Cut him, he's a free agent bust. Kevin Boss of the Giants is a free agent and can do what Manu couldn't do (block) and would be a cheaper option.

That's really good news since he wasn't at all ready to play his role effectively last year.
Even better news would be that they fvcked up the surgery and he's planning on retiring.
Kick him to the curb and spend the savings elsewhere. He was even a worse pick up than Omiyale.
