Position improvement is relative and symbiotic to a team depending on the tendencies. With Martz at the helm vs. a more power running based OC it may be more of a need that helps the team far greater than one might imagine.

The scuttlebutt is that didn't want to play in the slot but if that's true I really don't blame him. He's not really a slot type guy but that could have put him in Lovies/Martz's doghouse. Maybe Martz will wake up this year and finally decide that Hester should be playing in rotation with Knox and not opposite him and DA will get another shot. Besides Bennett should tie up that slot receiver spot.

Seems Bennett has his best times at split end. Aroma would seem to be a natural flanker with the speed he has shown when playing.
Hester and Knox could rotate at slot wth more Knox then Hester. Aroma at split end or flanker seems logical. Bennett could go into slot.
Seems that by leaving Aroma out you left somthing out for Cutler.Aroma pulled down a 39 yarder for a TD in 2009.

Don't as much see Knox in the slot as I do Hester (big mismatch) or Bennett (steady hands, good routes). I see DA more at SE or Flanker but you're right about one think. Cutler can hook up with the guy big time so I'd at least like to see him get another chance.

It made sense at WR with Martz learning who was who but leaving Aroma out was very strange.
The guy gets you 4 TD's before you got there and you dont know he's there or how to line him up?
C'mon Martz, look at your team...look at 2009 BEARS game film.
Aromas a starter.

Yeah I'm really confused on that also, he seems to make plays when he gets the chance, he's big and fast both. There has to be more going on behind the scenes then we know. I do like Knox and Bennett alot though, both still need to get better obviously but I like the potential in both of them. I like what they did with Hester limiting his plays and getting him back to the return man again.
They really need to hit some homeruns in this draft, because the Bears are really close to being a great team. OL and DL I agree with, or CB is also a need .... but I'll take any position they draft as long as it turns into a probowl player :)

Yes I believe it's gotten to the point where we definitely need a homerun or 3. A defensive or offensive rookie of the year sure would be nice and not another redshirt year. That is what it might take to put us over.

No WR is a position of need, our wr's lack in multiple areas. It's just not as much of a need as OL/DB.
