RUMORS from another Site
These are posted on the main Bears site by a guy from AL Scouting. I know they are just RUMORS, but they might be interesting to discuss in a boring point of the offseason.
IF/When there is a CBA in place look for the Bears to offer Tyler Polumbus OT from Seattle a contract to add depth and competition on the offensive line. He is a natural Tackle at 6'8 300 pounds with the frame to put on more weight. He was undrafted out of Colorado.
He has played Right tackle, Left Tackle, and guard for the Seahawks last year alone. He has started 8 games at left tackle for the Broncos in 2009 and 9 games at 3 different positions for the Seahawks in 2010.
He looked pretty good on tape last year at both guard and tackle considering he had one week of practice to play guard as there were many injuries to the Seahawks line last year.
He would add size, youth, experience, and competition to a very weak and aging O-line.
He is a player the Bears Pro-Personnel Department is eyeing if he doesn't re-sign with the Seahawks.
Also there is rumor the Bears are looking at Jeremy Trueblood and Jared Gaither. If the Bears get either one, Gaither would be the starter on the left side with Omiyale backing him up and Trueblood would be the starter on the right side with Webb backing him up and getting more time develop.
As for the interior, IF the Panthers Franchise Charles Johnson, watch for the Bears to target Ryan Kalil as a top-priority. IF that were to happen, Kreutzs' tenure as a Bear would be over as he still might have a team willing to take a chance on him and give him a opportunity to start.
Watch for the Bears to draft a guard in the first few rounds if they sign Kalil, Gaither, or Trueblood to bolster their offensive line.
Also, JUST a rumor,
The Bears are rumored to be looking to tender or sign-and-trade Daneal Manning along with Nick Roach, and possibly trading Greg Olsen to either move up the draft, or try and land another draft pick in the first round to a team looking for safety, Linebacker, and Tight end help.
It won't be business as usual for the Bears this draft. They might be able to use their 30th pick along with Greg Olsen to move up in the draft, or trade Olsen to a team desperate for a proven commodity at TE for a late first or early second.
Same goes for Manning and Roach, they might try and package them together for a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick, then use those picks to get another 1st. JUST RUMORS but from our view Mr. Ruskell will be running this draft as this is the deepest draft for offensive lineman, defensive tackles, and cornerbacks/safeties/linebackers.

Some of the guys mentioned in the RUMORS.
OT Jared Gaither is a guy I would love to go after as I think that he has some of the biggest upside. Elite athletic ability and production at LT offset by cost and injuries. But at 25 he might be worth the risk.

OT Jeremy Tureblood is a guy I could really care less about. He is good depth and has a nasty attitude, but he was benched in Tampa Bay and I do not know if he can be counted on as a starter.

OT Tyler Polumbus, similar to Trueblood he is big and versatile, but cannot be counted on as a real starting option.

C Ryan Kalil, would be a fantastic pick up because he is consider one of the best young C in the game. We could build out interior OL around him and he would replace the aging Olin Kreutz.

The trade ideas of Olsen, Manning and Roach seem far fetched and borderline ridiculous.
-How would we trade Daniel Manning unless we franchise tagged him and that is a big risk?
-How many player package deals do you see in the NFL? This is not the NBA and teams do not trade picks for packages of cast off players.
-I do not see how Olsen's trade value is a 1st round pick or 2nd round pick? They tried to deal him last year and didn't even get offered a 5th.

As I said they are just rumors and interesting conversation.

NE was in line to deal a #2 for Olsen but backed away when they found their guy(s) in the draft. I don't know where the rumor that we couldn't even get a 5th came from but it appears to be inaccurate. Olsen is worth more than a 5th round pick and if that's all we can get we should keep him.
Kalil would be a nice pick up though I doubt the Panthers will let him walk. As for the rest I don't see anybody to get all that thrilled
about. Me thinks the so called "rumors" are just the fertile imagination of the authors offseason mind. If there's very little to write about then just make something up and label it a "rumor from undisclosed sources".

Might as well. His career in Sumo ended in disgrace, and his ass moved back to Mongolia.
