A Reclamation Project: Vernon Gholston
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-should-be-up/
He has a ton of physical ability and seemed to be lost in the 3-4 defense.
As a 4-3 DE at Ohio State he has solid production and seemed to be able to use his unique physical gifts.
On a minimum deal with incentives is he worth a look as the 4th DE of the Bears?

I remember him that might be a good pickup. Might be a good test for Rod to develop him. I just want to see a 3tech and NT drafted not another DE again esp. with our needs elsewhere.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Why not give him a try, if he doesn't make the team, no real harm.

Winston Churchill:
"Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak."
"If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain."

Maybe he can play up to his draft position in a 4-3 but then again do we really want another Mark Anderson? We don't need another DE as much as we need a DT but if we can get the guy on a minny 1yr. deal I guess you bring him to camp and see if Marinelli can make something out of him. Costs us nothing but a plane ticket and his camp costs to see what he's got before making a comittment.

I'd sign him, and i'm sure he'll come cheap. With so many 3-4 teams, I doubt he'll get much look, unless a desperate team is in need of a mediocre 3-4 backer

And , sometimes the realization that it could end awakens that thing inside that's been dormant for too long. If the guy has any pride.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?
