well as the union get 58% of the revenue hat would be impossible to make a profit, jsut saying...tell you what if the city did't raise taxes, the cost of business didn't go up, gas prices didn't go up, etc etc, then you may have a point, unfort that isnt reality in the 2nd most expensive city in the NFL

Should only be of a concern to season ticket holders or those who regularly attend several games a year. All those who are affected by this please raise your hands. If you only go to an ocassional game or two and additional $5 - $30, depending on the accomodations, shouldn't make all that much of a difference in your enjoyment of the experience.

Why is it that so many who say that the Bears are cheap but want them to break the bank in FA and for a good coaching staff are oft times the ones who complain longest and loudest about things like this. The obvious paradox is at the same time some want to see the cap continue to increase they complain about what that costs in ticket price increases. Been to an NBA game lately? They have a new CBA coming up for negotiation too. Not too suprising is it?

I'm not picking on anyone specifically but I guess I am saying, why should anyone be surprised when any pro sports team raises it's prices. Until pro athletes compensation becomes more aligned with the reality of tough economic times we as fans will pay the price. I can't go to Bears games personally but the cost of an NFL package that includes their games and the price of a drink in a sportsbar with a satellite system that gets them sure hasn't gone down either.

    Just sayin'.

i'm actually MORE SUPRISED, with the huge ticket price increases see there, large market teams like the bears STILL haven't rose the prices to these level's... Honestly thought when NFL teams saw 2X-3X the prices on stubhub, like most capitalistic companies they would raise to the "market"- glad the NFL and bears have shown some restraint in this regard and kept "value" for their Season ticket holder's and huge benefit to them, its rare these days to see that honestly
