Bears raising ticket prices across the board

Bears raising ticket prices across the board

    February 25, 2011 11:41 AM |

    Staff report

After advancing to the NFC Championship Game in January, the Chicago Bears announced Friday that they are raising prices for all ticket categories for the 2011 season. It will mark the first time in three years that the price of all seats at Soldier Field will increase.

Non-club seat increases will range from $5 to $15 per ticket, while club-seat increases will range from $10 to $30. The Bears non-club ticket prices previously ranged from $74 to $140 and accounted for approximately 85 percent of the seating at Soldier Field. Club seats ranged from $265 to $530.

Full payment is due April 7. The Bears said that in the event that any games this season are canceled, refunds will be paid to season ticket holders no later than 30 days after it is determined how many games will be played during the 2011 NFL season.

bears rose prices less than teams that didn't even make the playoff's,, so isn't it "fair" that they made the NFCC and rose less than teams that went 8-8 or worse?...just saying

3 of the 13.. the other 10 rose prices w/o making the playoffs- just saying its funny how some react, if bears go 7-9, they shouldn't rise prices( despite all costs going up) becuase didn't make the playoff's.. now that made the playoffs wona game and made the NFCC game its "bears shouldn't rise prices unless building a new stadium". its a viscious cycle of always wanting no price rising BUt in the next breath wanting bears to spend the maxiu on players, maxium on every stadium comfort, but of course not raise prices ever.. not possible

Heaven forbid they NOT raise basic (non suite) ticket prices and rely on advertising and merchandise sales to generate enough money to hit the salary cap. the horror.
