Isnt this the worst a Mike Martz offense has ever done? There is a reason for that we invest crap attention on offense.
Actually this is the worst our O has done since the SB; yes worse then RT.

I would actually put Cutler in the same qb type as Warner, the guy needs stud wr's to get the ball to for him to be truly successfull. Right now we don't have that.
As for Cutler being an Elite QB I still put him at the top of the tier 2 qb's. He's not there yet, he's to inconsistnat with his game and his decisions. Again the line and wr's are that we currently have are not the reasons Cutler feels the need to throw into triple and quadruple coverages; ecspecially in the red zone. Potential, until fully realized is only potential; just ask Rex Grossman.
Three that I can think of that to me would rate ahead of Dilfer are Jim Everett, Trent Green and Marc Bulger. More recently I'd say both Adam Smith and Jay Cutler rate far ahead of Dilfer as to their inherent talents. Dilfer was an itinerant QB who only won a Super-Bowl because of Baltimore's dominating defense. Along with the 85 Bears probably the most dominant defensive team to win one.
The rest of what you say is spot on as far as I'm concerned. Cutler still has a ways to go to be among the elite.
I just never liked Dilfer as an analyst. Just like I said he's an arrogant ass who has no right commenting on the talents of other QB's when he had so little himself.

it always seem personal with dilfer- like a jealous little kid that is angry he envr had the talent cutler had- so he takes shot at him because he's jealous.. its odd

The jealousy and envy just drips off of him every time he comments on another QB. He's a complete dickweed!

I've never really thought about why I can't stand dilfer, but when you said that it was like a light went off. It does come across as envy.

yep sometimes wonder why his face doesn't turn green when bashing other qb's that obviously were far superior to him : )
