A few questions for draft guys on this board

I was wondering what you guys thought of these players:

    Corey Liuget
    Christian Ballard
    Brandon Harris
Prince Amukamara (any chance he could drop to us?)
    and Clint Boling

IDK much about all of these guys (except Prince looks like he'd be a beast), but I've watched some highlights and Christian Ballard looks like he'd be a hell of a player, but again, I don't know too much about 'em, and was wondering what your guys' take on them are.

I havn't had time to look at much more than first round linemen to be honest. maybe a few highlight's on youtube of popular recievers not named A.J. Green. (GO DAWGS!!!) and some Corners but nobody that really stands out yet...

Corey Liuget-Perfect 3-tech DT. Athletically gifted, great explosion, technique and motor.
Christian Ballard-Overrated because of his prototype tools. Didn't show up on tape as a difference maker much, but he could be the case of better pro than college player under the right coach in the right system.
Brandon Harris-Other than height (not bad though at 5-10), kid's got it all. Quickness, hips, long speed, ups, press, tackling, ball skills, reads and man to man. He's just a nightmare to run routes against.
Prince Amukamara (any chance he could drop to us?)-No chance. He'll go right around 10. Teams just didn't throw his way the past couple years and he made them pay for it when they did. Best hips in the draft at DB. He is a prototype CB who has everything it takes to be a shut down CB much like Revis island.
and Clint Boling- I mentioned him here many months ago as a favorite low-key guy of mine in the interior. He reminds me a lot of Yanda coming out; mean, country strong and hard to push back. Not a great athlete, but not necessarily limited to the pone booth inside.
answers in bold, but simple answer as that we have no shot at any but Boling. Maybe Harris if teams like Smith more (foolish, IMO).

Sox, how do you compare Liuget and Paea. If the Bears go DT in the first which is the better fit? I know at least one mock had the Bears actually picking Liuget with their first.

Thanks for all of your work and reports on these guys. Great info and personal observations!!

compare:high motors, 3-tech guys, strong, well built, athletic, work ethic, nasty.
contrast:Liuget is a more "flexible" athlete with looser movement. Paea is an outright bull who uses strength and explosion to get penetration while Liuget has some sick technique that he utilizes to go with his awesome burst. Liuget has huge upside in about every aspect of his game physically, whereas Paea is maxed out in a lot of areas.

Liuget will be gone. Paea is a slight reach.

So we can either spend choices and move up to get Liuget or pick up choices and drop back to get Paea huh? Maybe we could part with a 2012 for a move up. I'd prefer not to give up anything this year.
    Thanks for the comeback sox!

Yeah, I'm working now so I won't be able to watch the workouts and write on that until tonight/tomorrow, but I can do stuff like this if you have more Qs.

This, against Wisconsin was impressive tho, even if it's just a few good plays here and there..If he could play like that at the pro level, he'd be great for us.

Another DE when what we need are inside guys? Maybe as a later round pick or a FA because I like guys from Iowa but that's just one game and it's against a big time rival at home. I'd expect him to play well but you might also notice that he was playing the opposite side from Carimi and Moffitt. Would he have shown that well if that weren't the case?

He has the ability to play UT in our system and is not going to sniff UDFA. Having said that, I'm not as big a fan as I was before this season and wouldn't spend the pick necessary to get him.
