Since we have big time needs at both spots do we use that first on a DT or an OT. If we can solve some of the Oline dilemna in FA we're free to use the #1 on a DT and if not maybe the OT becomes the bigger need.

Nowhere else other than CB do we have so many prospects who may be ready to step forward under Tice's coaching or become training camp cuts if they don't. We haved plenty of bodies but so far little top of the line talent. Can they become better just by playing together longer or will they never get any better no matter how many games they play?

I think Ruskell's take on it is pretty astute. He knows that both of the lines need help, he knows we need WR help but seemingly won't break the bank to get it, and he admits we need more warm bodies at QB and LB. About the only thing he overlooks is the obvious need for a true blocking FB/Power RB to pair up with Forte. I don't know but maybe he thinks that Unga is that guy.

Soulman this organization has had years to fix the team and the OL has been neglected for years. It needs an overhaul yet Angelo will probably dumpster dive and pick up a few band aids to patch the OL while investing draft picks on the DL. The top priority should be fixing the OL and protecting the franchise qb or else we watch Jays career shink fast.

Ruskell is not going to rock the boat in his first year and his history in Seattle is dubious. If Ruskell can at least change some of the tendencies like drafting a DE first nearly every year I would be happy lol.

Considering in 9 years, we have drafted a DE ONLY ONCE FIRST(haynes), that is not a problem, the silly myths here, i'll never get, heck we have drafted an OT TWICE as often with the first pick, if being objective(williams, columbo)- so that would be the better tendacy under Angelo with the fist pick..FWIW

I don't completely disagree with you regarding the Oline but it hasn't been totally neglected. It's just that JA has chosen to go the FA route often and his two LT picks haven't panned out to well. Seems more like short term fixes and draft board reaches to me. Don't disagree that Cutler needs much better protection though and I do hope we get it. From where I really don't care.

I'll still stick to my previous postion though. We have big time needs at both LT and UT and I'd rather have the #2 or #3 UT than the #5 or #6 LT.
