Good point. Guess I'm thinking with my emotions rather than my financial common sense today. Not a good day to be fooling around on ETrade huh?

yep, and that was my only point also.. there is a Financial 'logic" to what they did.. it doesn't mean "not trusty worthy", 'stupid" or that they do not want hanie.. just means and there is sond logic behind why only doing the low tender..
Sometimes OK, to take a breath and not shoot first and kill evrything the bears do as awful, when if think about the "WHY",,, it can be a legit move or proper strategy

If it weren't for the fact that Martz trusted someone with dimished skills and far inferior talent than Hanie, I would say also part of it has to do with the fact that the Packers D called off the dogs, for the most part, when Hanie was playing. There wasn't nearly as much pressure as had been placed on Cutler, but then again, that could be offset by the fact that more guys were playing coverage against a 3rd stringer with little experience, and still got picked apart. I'm still with the crowd that gives Hanie the 2 mil. Does anyone think that he would've done any worse against the Giants or the Panthers than Collins did? He might not have won us the SB if he got us there, but again, does anyone think that he would've played as horribly as Grossman did against the Colts?

Hanie rallied the team and he's a longer Vet then Cutler.
Where have you gone Dan LeFevour DAA BEARRSSE turns its lonely eyes to you.
You dont cop a sixth pick QB and turn his ass loose to the Bengals.
WTF??

because hoping to catch "lightning in a bottle"( and we have with picks like Chris harris, webb ). the POINT is.. In the NFL as a whole, the 6th and 7th round picks have about a 6% success rate and a 94% failure rate , meaning forget bears Most of the time, despite 'thinking" on all 32 teams these late round picks will be good, the odd's of it actually happening very rare... so has nothing to do with "knowing" or not knowing", just reality in the NFL late picks rarely do workout long term, so saying that somethign with a 94% failure rate, and bashing the team if a late round pick fails,, seems silly

BTW the packers drafted a Qb in 2nd ( brian brohm) and cut him loose to the buffalo bills FWIW a 6th rounder sure beats a 2nd rounder, just saying...
