Non-tendered Aromashodu likely done with Bear
Non-tendered Aromashodu likely done with Bears
By Dan Pompeiand Brad Biggs
Barring something unforeseen, the Bears career of wide receiver Devin Aromashodu is over.
Aromashodu did not receive a tender offer from the team, which effectively means the Bears have no interest in retaining him. When free agency begins after a collective bargaining agreement is reached, Aromashodu will be free to sign with any team.
Aromashodu finished the 2009 season strong and became a favorite of Jay Cutler's. Against the Vikings that year, he had 150 receiving yards and caught the game winning touchdown in overtime.
At 6-2, 201 pounds, Aromashodu is a big target, and was a different type of receiver from the others on the Bears' roster.
The team had high hopes for him coming into the 2010 season, but Aromashodu never took to Mike Martz' offense. He was an opening-day starter, but quickly lost his job and playing time to Earl Bennett.
Aromashoudu failed to catch a pass in 12 games last season, blocked poorly and appeared to land a spot in the coaching staff's doghouse.
Aromashodu was with the Bears for three seasons. He also spent time with the Dolphins, Redskins, Colts and Texans.
The Bears already have signed former Canadian Football League receiver Andy Fantuz, another big target. They are likely to add another big receiver either in the draft or free agency.

kind of expected, and quite the fall from how ended 2009. Be Interesting to see if he catches on with another team and how he does

So much for that wallpaper I made.
(sadface)
But still those last 4 games of 2009 were fun.

How strange was that situation?

It is pretty normal when you consider the bears letting him go. Watch him end up in denver lead the league with yards like Brandon Lloyd did.

I think he may be out of chances. Five teams have now found him lacking in something so even his big finish in 2009 means nothing.

yeah not sure if gets "big headed" or can't read a playbook, but really odd 5 teams have cut him( inlcud indy).. and he was awful at blocking in 2010 and he struggled with some drops early and then when he refused the ST and learning the slot position, he just didn't have the 'rep" to do things like that.. a shame because at the end of 2009, thought we has something

this is the no shit move of the year lol
but I still think the playbook thing is a bunch of complete bullshit and the first game showed he was doing good except a big drop imo

He was a flanker and thats where you play him.
