Prospects the Bears are Looking At
-

I wouldn't expect that they'd not show an interest since LT is one of our biggest areas of concern.
The accompanying mock is interesting though in that outside obvious ones, Fairley and Dareus, only Baylor's Phil Taylor rates a first round pick at DT leaving guys Liuget, Paea, Wilkerson, Austin, and Nevis to fall into the second round.
As expected the run on OT's begins at #19 and runs with the 5 top OT's going in the next 10 picks the Bears pick being Carimi. This pretty much the way I see it happening too. LT's are always gonna command a premium pick. I do agree with Windy though. There probably is no sure fire guarantee all-pro LT's in the bunch but there are 5 very good players who could be a good fit for those teams needing one.
Seems to me that Costonzo and Carimi may be the two most NFL ready, Smith the smaller but super athlete somewhat like a D'Brickashaw Ferguson, and Solder and Sherrod the hit or miss guys. Seems to me like some teams will get exactly what they wanted and the others will eventually be disappointed with their choice.

Thanks Windy. No real surprises as far as the Olineman go.
Costonzo, Carimi, and Sherrod head up the OT's and Pouncey the OG's. From that and as of how it looks now it may be an OT or Pouncey in the first and then a hope that they may get Austin in the second.
Can't say that I be all that unhappy if that's the way it went as long as they solve the starting LT and/or starting OG issues in FA as well.
