So is Sebastian Vollmer and he can play LT. We should not rule him out on the left side until camp.

Bring him into compete at OT and see where he ends up.

I'm just glad that on March ninth 2011 someone finally broke the news that the offensive line is a priority for the Bears. Now we have something new to talk about.

The Chicago Bears are out and about Wednesday. A source at Wisconsin said the Bears are represented there by the three Mikes - offensive coordinator Mike Martz, line coach Mike Tice and tight ends coach Mike DeBord.

Carimi would be a great value at 29 and would bring much needed physicality and toughness to our OL.

If we ended up with an OL that looked like this we would be okay,

    LT: Webb/Williams
    LG: FA
    C: Kreutz
    RG: Garza
    RT: Carimi

It would not be perfect but it would be better.

Glad to hear the Bears are taking a good long look at him.

Nice lineup but I'd leave Webb at RT and let CWill and Carimi fight it out for LT since that's where each of them played in college. Now plug in a guy like Blalock at left OG and draft another OG to compete with Garza and we may have something.

But if we can score both an OT and an OG in FA we can take a DT instead of Carimi and plug a different hole.

why are you not putting Camiri at LT, Webb reminds me so much of big cat, both in size and abilities, he seemsmore the classic RT with sie/strength for the eun game, than the quicker LT needed for the Speed rushing DE's at LT..

The OT debate this year is probably the most debated group I have seen in some time. No one can agree on who the 1st round OTs are and what everyone elses value is.

I am predicting that the strength of this drafts OL talent is in the 2nd round OG talent.

    Marcus Cannon
    Clint Boling
    Ben Ijalana
    Orlando Franklin
    Danny Watkins
    Rodney Hudson
    James Carpenter

I think that this group for the value is far more solid then taking one of the OTs early.

Think better to find OG in F/A and in 2nd depending on who is there a CB and wait to 3rd on a OG who will be riding the bench at least for 2011

And I think you may be right Windy. The FA pool has some nice younger talent at OG so that may mean that some of these guys will drop some since demand for OG's may not be as great. Anyone of them who could also play OC might have a leg up on the others.

If we can pick both an OT and OG in FA then take another rookie OG in the 2nd or 3rd round we go along way towards upgrading the Oline. Now consider what I've posted elsewhere about the DT's.

Liuget at #29 if available, Paea in a trade down to the top of the 2nd or Nevis on a trade up (if needed) to the mid second. Personally I think it will be either Liuget or Paea but who knows? We can afford be pretty flexible if we can get the Oline help we need in FA.
