Okay, who is this guy...???
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shu...y?urn=nfl-wp39
...why is a Bears scout wasting his time watching Cam Newton...?!? I would assume he is affiliated with the Bears...?!?
Time well spent I see...

Vikes may draft him so maybe the guy is doing an evaluation because of it.

To me, that is rather pointless...

Maybe they are looking at the wr's he's throwing to as well. A bit of a waste of time though considering you could just watch his combine tape and focus on interviewing potential picks.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Good teams research everyone, knowledge is power.
My guess is he was there to watch Fairley and some of the lesser prospects and he walked over to see what all the hype is about.
What happens if Newton falls to 29 and we are starting to take trade bids, we need to know what he might be worth.

You are stating that the Bears would draft him to then make a trade later...???

No, we would then trade the 29th pick to a team that wants him. But lets say that we would normally ask for 2nd and a 3rd. But now we know that Newton is talented and a team might be desperate for him and then we ask for a 2nd, 3rd and 2[2012].

Or:
1. just had a bear hat on( pro team he likes) and actually works for auburn
2. just a TV lackey there to hold electical chords that likes the bears
3. if a scout maybe there to see the DT's or another position on auburn as ALL 32 TEAMS THERE, why shouldn't bears be there? and maybe there to take with a Dt/WR/CB etc??
I know.. i know MUCH better to think 'pointless' and try and just focus on newton, than god forbid, have a Scout see the pro days of all the auburn players that will be in the NFL... personally be more shcoked if no scout was there and has ZERO to do with cam newtown
