CB and WR with first two picks, WTF???????
Posting an article from the official site by Pat Kirwan. His prediction for the Bears first two picks are; 1st = Aaron Williams/CB/Texas, 2nd = Titus Young/WR/BSU.
That's a pretty incredible prediction about a team whose biggest need are in the Offensive and Defensive Lines. CB and WR are two spots where we could use some help but they're not more critical than the lineman we need.
What do these guys base opinions like this on? Too off base for words.

It's all smoke and mirror until the draft happens.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Yeah, these mocks are about half right half of the time, LOL. This one just tears me up though. Every other football writer or pundit in the known world has the Bears picking either an Olineman or a Dlineman with that first pick. Yet this guy thinks we'll take two guys and secondary positions of need before we fill the primary ones.
Sometimes it amazes me that these guys actually get paid to write about something of which they seem to have no knowledge of.

He's throwing out an outlandish scenerio on purpose. To get attention.
Goal accomplished.

Yeah, but who wants attention from people who think you're either an idiot or have spent absolutely zero time doing any research before you wrote it?

it incites emotion which incites ratings. To appear dumber than your readers makes them come out and drive your ratings/subscriptions.

I guess but not all of us have the mind and emotions of a 12 year old. For my part I would typically ignore anything the guy said from now on if that's really his game. If I were gonna have a discussion about this it shouldn't begin with a completely ridiculous assmption.

It's a paradox but it works to distinguish the brand. I've browsed a good many of the scouting/draft magazines and when most rate the players the same way they have to try to sell readers somehow. I remember reading about one scout/writer who's picks were dead on then would turn around and pick something crazy inciting the readers.

If there isn't anything in the first left that we can't get in the 2nd or 3rd why NOT trade down? Angelo is money in later rounds anyway.
You pass up on huge first round contract, for a guy who could have just as much potential like a J Webb or Knox at late round money.
you save a buck AND get the talent we need.
I trust we'll do just fine.... if the Draft even Happens that is.
