No ducking the issue: Urlacher wants to play

Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher teamed with Donald Duck to throw out the first pitch at an Atlanta Braves spring-training game in Florida while visiting DisneyWorld, and said again that the NFL players are eager to get the labor dispute resolved and get back to work:

From that comment it still doesn't sound to me like the players planned to go to court all along. But I agree with idea of putting a halt to the bickering and mudslinging. Like Vrabel suggested, have the NFL bring 3 top decision makers to the table to meet with the players 3 top decision makers.

Then get over the trust issue with the whole of them and establish it with those three. Lock yourselves in a room and don't come out until the deal is done. Let's play football.

That became all too clear to me the second they started voting on desertification this past season. I won't take sides in millionaire money fights, but so far the NFL has stepped up to the bargaining table and the players are running to cry on Uncle Sam's shoulder.

yep and that is what will ultimately happen, cu out the blood sucking leech lawyers now and save both sides millions and do it now- unfort the layers for union already telling them they can't do that becuase not a union anymore.. grrrr

Fvck the lawyers. Lawyers work for the client and can be fired just as easily as they were hired. All someone needs to do is to tell them to step aside, give up the lawsuit, stop complaining to the NLRBA and get down to business. Your top three meet with our top three and we get a deal done.

That never does any good if the bargain you offer is no bargain at all. That's why they're all where they're at.
