Although Woodson may be a better overall playmaker right now it's obvious that his numerous blitz's are less productive than Moore's and Moore also has the advantage of having most of his career ahead of him not behind him. For our purposes Moore does what we need him to do.
Soul, you do realize that Woodson had his best season ever for tackles? A guy that is only 34 put up great numbers and makes an impact for his team. There was a reason he was the defensive player of the year last year yet I kept hearing from certain people how old he was getting and how he lost a step yet he keeps making the probowl. Who do you think qbs fear more, Woodson or Moore?

I don't know why or how this conversation came to be Woodson V Moore, and I don't really care. I will, however, say that DJ was exactly what we need at NB. He plays well in his zone and does a darn good job of locking in on the QBs eyes as noted not just by his picks but his jumps to tackle. He has that short area quickness that is perfectly isolated in his role as opposed to a starting spot where his long speed would be exposed. He's just a quick twitch and responsible DB with good hands. We are better for having him in our depth chart. Now only if we can get someone to take over for Jennings so he can split time at NB where he belongs.

Yeah, only one person was on that tack and as said before not germaine to the thread.. just trying to start an argument where none existed

Woodson is good but in this defense the DB are as good as the pass rush. The big money big talent DBs arent needed. The big money pass rushers are. Our success on defense all starts with the pass rush. Especially with all the rules around my invest goes into the dline

my question is, how did we get on the Moore VS woodson debate anyway? wasn't this about DB's who pass rush? we don't know enough about Moore to say he's never gonna be a pro bowler like Woodson. this was his first year full time as a starter and he made some amazing plays. why don't you do us a favor and get off Charles "hangin down parts" for a while, and continue with the OP... which had NOTHING TO DO WITH CHARLES WOODSON IN THE FIRST PLACE. unless you wanna throw up some QB pressure stats.

A couple of things,
Grizz explain a few things to me, why did DB54 not post the entire article? Why did he bold print Moore and Woodson in this original post? Why did he not list all 49 players in this article yet only stop at Woodson? What is the big deal for me talking about Woodson in this thread? He is mentioned in the original story and there must be a reason DB54 BOLD PRINT BOTH PLAYERS because if there was not a reason then he would NOT HAVE BOLD PRINT BOTH PLAYERS AND HE WOULD HAVE LISTED THE ENTIRE LIST OF PLAYERS.
-
Explain to you why DB didn't post the article???... love to help you but my crystal ball is in the shop. maybe ask him?
My joke was that Woodson was so far down on the list he's irrelevant to the topic of pass rushing, therefore not part of the conversation. I thought this was a pass rush converstation but clearly... I've been misinformed.

Probably easier to ask the person directly, 4th.
i posted the whole article, and this site stinks when it formats cut/paste stats and bunches them all together so are indecipherible, as you well know- so had to redo and try and do line by line to make sense of it-honestly got real sick of it about #30( and put the link for those that would care about the rest).. for why didn't do all the way to #50.. had nothing to do with woodson at all, and not sure why the last one was also bolded?.. once again jumping to wrong conclusions- next time just ask the direct source please.

BTW Dawkins plays for the Donkeys, not philly.
You would favor anything that the Green Bay Packers players and front office does simply because you are secretly a Packers fan.
