Yeah, that TD reception of his sure was a peach, huh?
Basically, he fell into the end zone by accident.
Manu was a high-priced cap space filler, that's all. Obviously, his blocking skills didn't have a meaningful impact on either the run or pass pro. Him & Chester were both clearly a waste of $ last year.

Yeah but I'll bet you could improve his blocking much easier than improving Manu's receiving, LOL.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, the Bears’ biggest need in this year’s draft is at wide receiver.
That’s garbage.
The Bears have do have their share of shortcomings at wide receiver. But QB Jay Cutler is capable of making each and every one of their pass catchers better – as long as he has an offensive line that can protect him. That’s the Bears’ No. 1 priority in the draft.
While Devin Hester may never be a No. 1 wide receiver, he’s still capable of scoring every time he touches the ball, and he attracts more attention from opposing secondaries than most No. 2 or No. 3 receivers.
Johnny Knox has been nothing short of brilliant, considering that he was a fifth-round draft pick in 2009. He’s put up impressive back-to-back seasons, including last year’s 51 catches and 960 yards.
Earl Bennett overcame a slow start to catch 46 passes for 561 yards, and Cutler has as much confidence in him as any player on the roster, especially in crucial third-down situations.
The Bears do need a big, physical presence at wide receiver, especially someone who can win jump balls. But they have a much greater need at offensive line. They should get more protection for Cutler and a replacement for Tommie Harris before they consider wide receivers
Love the fact that organizations like PFT think they know more than local scribes or even fans. Spend a mid round pick one one or sign one in FA but why in the hell would you draft a WR when the only two guys worth a first will go in the top ten?

There are plenty of quality WR to be had in free agency, so Bob Legere is absolutely correct when he said that the Bears need a big, physical presence at wide receiver and that they should go that route to get it. I would not be shocked to see the Bears take the best available of the OT/DT in the first round or watch them trade down to early second round and then have their pick of the early second round picks. At some point, we have to consider drafting a CB, and that should be done sometime from the third round on down the line.

I'm not so sure how much "quality" Wr's in free agency, there are alot of #2 and #3 Wr's but not #1's.. with the exception of rice( who may or may not b a f/a), i'd not count anyone as a top WR.. like floyd, but he's not a #1, he'sa tall, go get it #2.. and someone like ras- dowling how is falling in many mocks may be there in 3rd

If that is the case, I would rather go after Greg Little in the third round if he is still available.
Do you think that the new CBA will overturn Sidney Rice's unrestricted free agency status? After all, I was under the impression that the Vikings basically let him go.

If we could get as good a CB as we got in Major Wright at safety I'd be thrilled. Ras-I Dowling and Jalil Brown are two great canidates if we could get one of them.

Jalil Brown would be the safer bet because he started all 12 games for Colorado while Dowling only played in five due to injury, but his 40-time is considerably slower than Dowling's. (Dowling ran a 4.40 40 yard dash in comparison to Brown's 4.52.) It all depends on whether you are comfortable taking someone who was injured for nearly 3/4 of last season (Dowling), or going with someone who was healthy (Brown). Both are comparable in height and weight, so there is no problem there.

Little isn't a bad option either, just think rather have the CB, esp if gettgn a floyd in F/A.. no goo Cb's in f/a after N.A.( who will ask for the moon)... and on rice just not sure, think its about 60/40 he still gos to F/A, but would not bank on it
