I know next to nothing about Christian Ballard. Chad Pennington, I can vouch as a fellow Knoxvillian that he was a very good quarterback. Phil Fulmer (Tennessee's former head football coach) should have recruited him, but for some reason, UT doesn't like to recruit players out of the Knoxville area very much. They will go to Nashville, Memphis, and Chattanooga before they will draft from the local football powerhouses (Maryville H.S., Alcoa H.S., etc.). Atlanta Falcons RT Tyson Clabo attended Farragut High School in West Knoxville, and was not recruited by UT to stay and play for "The Big Orange." Instead, he went off and played at Wake Forest.
