Trip to Kenya gives Cutler a new outlook on life

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Jay Cutler’s two-week trip to Kenya last month put things in perspective for the Bears quarterback. Cutler traveled to Africa for the first time with girlfriend Kristin Cavallari on behalf of the non-profit organization OneKid OneWorld. The mission of the charity is to make a difference in the lives of children in need around the globe.
Cutler told the Chicago Sun-Times that he visited the small town of Wamba in the Rift Valley that had been without water for 2½ months.
“It cost us $300 to provide for water for a few months,” Cutler said.

“After all the turmoil we go through here, everyone thinks we have so many problems. But to see what they have to deal with and to see how grateful they are to have water is just amazing.”
