We have a lot of probable talent still in the developmental stage. From what we've seen so far both Wootton and Webb progressed quite a bit by years end. Good because we need some youth at both OT and DE.
I to think Bennett is ready bigger and better things. He could become a Hines Ward type of guy if we use him correctly. DJ Moore had a great year in his first starting and Major Wright looked like a much more seasoned player than a rookie to me.
Like I've said in other posts the offense needs 1 OT, 1 OG/C, 1 Big WR, and 1 Power Back to round out the offense. The draft and FA can easily supply players to meet those needs.
Defensively we absolutely need that 3t DT, another CB, and some youth at LB. Once again I think the draft will supply those needs.

I hate to say it but I think that there will also be a fair share of sophomore slumps as every team is bound to have. I'd rather hope for just solid play from a whole group than a stellar breakout year from just one or two guys.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

We must not forget about free agency. We will sign probably two to three players, with one of those players getting a considerable salary while the other two probably getting in the $1-2.5 million range per year. I see the Bears going after a guard since there are so many of those out there right now. Davin Joseph is one, Blalock is another, and still Nicks is going to be a free agent after the season as well (although I think the Saints may well put a franchise tag on him).

It's up to the coaching staff to see that those sophmore slumps don't happen and if they do have another guy ready to step up then and there.

I don't think Zac Bowman is a cover 2 type CB myself, I think he would do much better in a press man to man type scheme. I too would like to see what Joshua Moore can bring to the table. The door is certainly as open as it's ever going to get for him on the Bears so hopefully he takes advantage of it.

If that's the case, they can always move Danieal Manning back to CB, provided he gets resigned...lol.

Why would you move a safety (Manninig) to CB when you have a true CB in Joshua Moore? I also hope they can resign Corey Graham and give him another look at CB as I believe he too has the skills to play in Lovie's scheme.

Oh the misleading effects of the typed word... I WAS KIDDING!!! Of course I wouldn't move Danieal Manning back to corner. He did far too well at S to do that (in fact, he didn't give up a single touchdown all last season).

I would like that too but unfortunately everytime he mentions Graham it's only in the context of his ST performance, never as one of the CB prospects. It's kind of like having a family portrait and being told you won't be in it. I'm afraid he's gone, gone, gone.

Sadly, soulman, you are right.
