Bennett, who previously was repped by Bus Cook, has signed with Octagon and will be represented by Doug Hendrickson and C.J. Laboy, according to Liz Mullen of Sports Business Journal.
The 24-year-old Bennett has one year remaining on his contract. He played in 14 games last season and made 46 receptions for 561 yards and a career-high three touchdowns. Bennett had 100 receptions over the last two seasons after playing sparingly as a rookie in 2008.
A third-round draft pick from Vanderbilt, Bennett could be in line for more playing time this coming season, but much of that depends on what moves the Bears make in the offseason –- in the draft and in free agency when the lockout ends.
The Bears could consider moving Devin Hester out of the starting lineup but that remains to be seen.
