Thread: Lowballing Bears’ Dave Toub is a risky decisi

Not too hard to figure that if one coach got a raise others would line up for one too. These guys have agents too and you can't put it past them to be trying to work those extensions for all that they're worth.

I don't know what behind all this and this mystery source may be the guy who buffs Ted Phillips shoes at the CC or Mulligans drunken brother in law for all we know. I've yet to see the Bears of this era not pay for excellence both for players and coaches alike so a wait see is in order.

Both Toub and Martz are under contract now and there's 6 months or more left to get them extensions. Why panic now when there's plenty of time to do it next January after this season is over.

Not everybody appreciates it but there would be a lot less posting activity and diverse discussions on this board if those
articles weren't posted. I'm not talking about just the re-posts of those newspaper trash pieces, I'm talking about re-posts in general.

I like to add a few from time to time myself. I always figure it makes for discussion and debate and not any worse than the 100 or so mocks, with and without free agent prospects, that have been posted daily for the past month or so. If it gets overboard the staff can alwasy condense them into fewer posts. JMO.

I'll be the first to admit i'm a dick. I almost always go for the dick move, or dick thing to say, and this is one of those rare times of civility

for some people who don't come here every day it's hard to track down a specific conversation you want to come back to when it get's bumped back a page or two due to multiple threads.

a simple consolodation of articles could do two things. Ease the complaints of too many threads by any one person, and allow DB54 to continue to provide us all with a wealth of bear news which is why we are all here. to get our Chicago Bear fix.

this is not a request for DB to stop posting or even cut back. just asking to consolodate. and it's just a suggestion. feel free to completely ignore.

And I think it's a really good suggestion. It gets tiresome posting to same thing in several different threads when a consolidation would make that easier. Case in point; today I re-posted something from the official site on Anthony Adams in the DT positional analysis thread while DB posted it in the Free Agents thread. Legitimately it could have gone in either but sometimes there are so many active threads that it's hard to know exactly which one to post in so many times we post in all of them.

It's kind of a wasted effort when you're responding to the same thought or idea two separate places so I think condensing certain threads with great similarity would be more efficient for all of us. Just my two cents worth as well.
