Martz I'm not that worried about. They can offer him an extension at a latter time depending on how well the offense does this season. I am concerned with the Toub matter though. I sure would hate to see him move on to another team and hope the Bears make a better offer to him soon.

I'm in favor of that 100%. I was never a big fan of his coming to Chicago to begin with although I do have to give him credit for finally adapting to his players (as opposed to the opposite) and getting some scoring out if this offense. The extension has been offered and turned down but that doesn't mean that it's been withdrawn or that a better offer may not be forthcoming once the labor dispute is settled.
It's pretty much the same thing with Toub although I would miss him more than Martz. There are other OC's around that are his equal or better. I'd rather we hold on to both because I don't like the idea of us installing another offensive system now that Cutler in the others have begun to get their arms around it.
More than anything though is that I'd like the Sun-Times and Mulligan (Moron-otti v2.0) to get the F off this coaching contracts deal. All of these guys are signed through 2011 so let's see what kind of a season we have and if we have a full one. There's still time to deal with the coaches contracts later in the season.

I personally don't think ht's done enough to justify a raise. I'm not putting all the blame on him for our subpar O-line and below average receivers, but I also haven't seen enough improvement to say he's doing a great job.

I don't think Lovie Smith has done enought to justify a raise either.

You don't like Lovie Smith? You should let people know about that more often.

It has been a while since I have made a Lovie Smith rant.

Yet nobody batted an eye when Tice got extended. And I didn't see much improvment on the line from the '09 season.

Better stay in practice or you'll lose your touch, LOL.
