So DB, what now? Do we go after another for the side opposite Carimi or do we go after a G? I'm not sure that I trust Webb as a LT. I barely trust him at RT.

NFL.com has this to say:
Pick Analysis: The Bears' brass gives Mike Martz an aggressive edge blocker to insert into the lineup. Though he is ideally suited to play right tackle, Carimi could move inside to guard to fortify the interior of a leaky offensive line. Regardless of where he winds up, he is a significant upgrade at either position for the Bears.
BOLD: Don't care where he winds up, he's a huge upgrade, as the ITL states!
Overview
Carimi was the 2010 Outland Trophy winner as the best interior lineman in college football, and it appears likely that he will have continued success at the next level. Carimi is simply a "bad man" who looks to punish defensive ends on every play. His non-stop motor, coupled with his ideal size, make him a terror in the running game, and he has enough athleticism to hold his own in pass protection. Like all tall linemen, Carimi struggles at times with leverage and may have to make the move to right tackle in the NFL. Overall, Carimi is a beast who should be picked in the middle of the first round.
What a steal for us...JA got lucky w/bad picks in front of us, and our guy landing in our laps; kudo's for him for not trading down!

I guess this means Webb is all but certain to go and compete for the LT spot as I definitely see Carimi as a RT in the NFL. Great pick, we hope and very fortunate he dropped to us. I have no idea who they will go after with their 2nd pick as a lot of the DT's are coming off the board here in the 1st and I'm sure most others will be long gone before the Bears pick. Maybe they go after Mebane really hard in FA now to fill Tommie's spot.

Ya we still need an OL overhaul, but this is a HUGE first step....but Det and GB w/Raji are why I wouldn't mind him moving inside.

Where's 4th? I want to heckle him about his man-hate for Jerry Angelo. Between him and Tim Ruskell, we may have just secured the best draft pick in the first round since Greg Olsen...possibly even as far back as Brian Urlacher.

I'm sure Tice has a plan already... but personally would let Webb/Williams battle it out for LT.. get a guard from F/A and ahve kreutz/garza for 2011...and omiylae can be the swing player for injury.. or if they Like Carimi for LT.. you go Carimi/FA/krutz/garza/webb

I'm as giddy as a school girl. I gave a good old fashioned Southern rebel yell when we got Carimi, DB. You should have seen me in all of my football redneck glory.

Well lets not act like this was something JA and Hassle did...this guy fell on top of them; even a blind emo french girl couldn't have F'd this draft up. And this is definately a better pick then Olsen....and makes up for broke back RT.
