disagree.. they could have traded up and cost us picks and didn't( and som wanted us to do this to get him).. could have traded DOWN and missed him also.. they could ahve taken a WR/DT also..

disagree, they could have traded up and cost us picks; except JA is unware he is allowed to do that...and once he fell in their lap, they would not have traded down...nor could they have gone WR/DT w/such as GINRMOUS need at OL and Cramini falling on them.

According to NFL network the Bears did try to move up with Baltimore but someone screwed up and didn't place the call in time so KC went ahead of Balt. The Bears got lucky as KC didn't take Carimi and everybody's happy as the Ravens got their player in Smith and the Bears got Carimi as KC went elsewhere.

I was shocked that KC took Baldwin. I think most had them taking Carimi...that may be why they wanted to trade up. Can't imagine they were gonna trade up for Baldwin, can you?

and he "balked" at the offer...I figure the conversation went something like this:
Balt: "Hey JA you wanna trade us your 1st and 4th for our 1st; guarantees you get that sweet OL you need..."
JA: *BALK* "Trade up; that's against the rules, we'll lose our 1st pick jackass!!! Screw you if you think you can trick me like that!!!"

JA wouldn't know how to trade up if a gun was to his mothers head.
