Jeff never said that, and as a matter of fact had Carimi as the bears pick in this draft- like Soul,, all ever said was w/o tommie getting a "3" as important as a LT to the bears team... and depending on WHO was there, can see a DT taken ahead of a OT with the other position taken at #62.. been very consistant about that..

    My final mock:

    1. OTCamiri/wilkerson( whoever falls.. and add in costonza)

    2. DT nevis/Carpenter( the opposite position of round 1)

    3. CB- ras dowling( or little if still there, which doubt)

    4. LB- Nate irving

    5. WR- ausitin pettis

    6. BPA- Guard/center

    7. BPA period

Perhaps I misundersttod what you said. A while back I said I wanted Carimi or Sherrod and said they would be franchise left tackles. I thought you said something to the affect of "teams do not have to have a franchise left tackle to be successful." Again, I have have misunderstood what you said.

Anyway, I'm glad you like the Carimi pick.

Angelo really has gone a long way in repairing his busted draft track record by doing the smart thing. Don't know what to make of the story about him whiffing on a trade up to grab him earlier but, what the hey, he's ours anyway! :)

here's hoping the rub of the green extends to our second round... If by some miracle we get a sniff of oregon's dt paea i'm going to be leaving a sticky mess in my shorts.

    Go bears!!!
    called it!!!

Shit, i'd aim a lot higher than one of Clinton's beatches.

What a first couple of rounds for us, especially considering where we were drafting at the end of each round. Still pumped about it now... couldn't get to sleep...

and then this morning I read about us spending a third on Conte.. wtf?

I know. It almost sounds like a magazine involving traveling, only I think it's spelled "Conde."
