Thread: Mock Draft round 2

33. New England Patriots: Greg Little, WR, North Carolina. Bill Belichick will probably just trade out of this pick, as he usually does, but Little has risen dramatically, and the Pats have taken risks on Tar Heel receivers before.

34. Buffalo Bills: Kyle Rudolph, TE, Notre Dame. Bills GM Buddy Nix will now build around QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, and he'll need to surround him with more talent to do so effectively.

35. Cincinnati Bengals: Andy Dalton, QB, TCU. After being hyped as a potential Top 10 pick, Dalton has fallen into the second round, where it's unlikely he'll get past Jay Gruden's waiting arms.

36. Denver Broncos: Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon State. Denver's biggest need is at defensive tackle, and though they could've addressed it in Round 1, pairing Von Miller with Paea provides terrific value.

37. Cleveland Browns: Da'Quan Bowers, DE, Clemson. It's tough to envision Bowers' slide lasting past Dick Jauron and his re-building 4-3 defense, as the Browns really need help at end.

38. Arizona Cardinals: Jabaal Sheard, DE, Pittsburgh. A highly underrated prospect, Sheard would stand up as a rush linebacker, which happens to be the Cardinals' biggest need area at the moment.

39. Tennessee Titans: Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina. The Titans have gambled on troubled defensive tackles before; Austin has huge upside and fills the team's biggest remaining need.

40. Dallas Cowboys: Aaron Williams, CB, Texas. Dallas needs help in the secondary. Williams is a big, physical kid with ball skills, and could conceivably play corner or safety.

41. Washington Redskins: Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada. I still think it's likely that the Redskins look for a developmental quarterback, and Kaepernick has considerable upside.

42. Houston Texans: Brooks Reed, DE, Arizona. Reed strikes me as more than slightly overrated, but in Wade Phillips' one-gap system, he'd make for a highly intriguing rush linebacker.

43. Minnesota Vikings: Marcus Gilbert, OT, Florida. The Vikings really need to address their offensive line, and Gilbert is a tackle/guard prospect that, at bare minimum, gives them talented depth.

44. Detroit Lions: Brandon Harris, CB, Miami (FL). Brandon Harris has a shot to be the first player off the board tonight. If he lands in Detroit, the Lions are playoff contenders.

45. San Francisco 49ers: Curtis Brown, CB, Texas. After passing on Prince Amukamara in the first round, the 49ers still desperately need corner help. Brown is an underrated prospect.

46. Denver Broncos: Jarvis Jenkins, DT, Clemson. Taking advantage of the depth of the defensive line class, adding Paea and Jenkins could yield the Broncos two starting defensive tackles.

47. St. Louis Rams: Titus Young, WR, Boise State. The Rams do need more targets for Sam Bradford, and Titus Young - while perhaps talent-redundant with Donnie Avery - fits Josh McDaniels well.

48. Oakland Raiders: Stefen Wisniewski, C, Penn State. Wisniewski is the type that will get over-drafted a touch, and Oakland seems like a perfect fit for him.

49. Washington Redskins: Rodney Hudson, OG, Florida State. This pick acquired from Jacksonville when Washington moved down in Round 1. Hudson is an ideal fit for the zone-blocking scheme, and has the versatility to play center.

50. San Diego Chargers: Randall Cobb, WR, Kentucky. The need on the D-Line is addressed, so it's time to add speed and playmaking ability to the Chargers' receiving corps.

51. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Clint Boling, OG, Georgia. The right side of the offensive line is of mild concern in Tampa Bay, and Boling can help out immediately at either guard or tackle.

52. New York Giants: Akeem Ayers, OLB, UCLA. Many - including yours truly - considered Ayers a candidate for the Giants' first-round pick, making him outstanding value here.

53. Indianapolis Colts: Drake Nevis, DT, LSU. Nevis was a highly productive and underrated player at LSU that would seamlessly address the Colts' biggest remaining weakness.

54. Philadelphia Eagles: Ras-I Dowling, CB, Virginia. There is injury concern with Dowling, but he is a highly talented defensive back that can flip to safety if he flops at corner.

55. Kansas City Chiefs: Justin Houston, OLB, Georgia. Houston is overrated, but he's simply too athletically gifted to slide much further than this. A nice running mate for Tamba Hali.

56. New England Patriots: Allen Bailey, DE, Miami (FL). This pick acquired from New Orleans. One of the draft's most gifted athletes, Belichick could conceivably use Bailey at outside linebacker or defensive end.

57. Seattle Seahawks: Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas. Mallett is not a perfect fit for Darrell Bevell's offensive system, granted, but there's so much need here that Mallett may be too difficult to pass up.

58. Baltimore Ravens: Jerrel Jernigan, WR, Troy. The Ravens need youth and speed at receiver, and Jernigan provides both, along with slot and return skills.

59. Cleveland Browns: Bruce Carter, OLB, North Carolina. This pick acquired from Atlanta when Cleveland moved down in Round 1. The re-build up front for Jauron continues with an ideal Will linebacker for the 4-3.

60. New England Patriots: Ben Ijalana, OT, Villanova. Sure, they added Nate Solder in the first round, but more depth is needed, and Ijalana has elite-level capability as a projected guard.

61. San Diego Chargers: Martez Wilson, ILB, Illinois. After adding Corey Liuget in Round 1, his Illini teammate makes sense as a hybrid linebacker capable of rushing from the OLB position.

62. Chicago Bears: Christian Ballard, DT, Iowa. The Bears have gambled on troubled defensive tackles before; Ballard was a highly productive and underrated player at Iowa that would seamlessly address the Bears' biggest remaining weakness.

63. Pittsburgh Steelers: Will Rackley, OG, Lehigh. Help is desperately needed up front, and Rackley is one of the most talented small-school players available this year.

64. Green Bay Packers: Ryan Williams, RB, Virginia Tech. There was some buzz that the Pack liked Williams at No. 32; he makes a great deal of sense as a high-value pick to end Round 2.
